| Irene M. MontClair | | | | December 3, 2005 Irene M. MontClair, 67, of Parish, died on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital unexpectedly after being taken ill at her home. She was born on January 30, 1938, in Syracuse, the daughter of Edwin and Mae Zgardzinski Hilts. Irene was a graduate of Jamesville-Dewitt High School. On November 6, 1963, in Pennsylvania, she was united in marriage to Frederick MontClair. Their loving union lasted for over 36 years until
Fred's passing in 1999. Irene's first husband of nine years, Jack Carr, passed away in 1963. For the past 20 years, Irene had worked at the Grist Mill Restaurant as a cook. She also worked as a part-time cook for East Coast Resorts in Parish. She had previously worked at Bowmen's Grocery and the Central Square IGA. Surviving are her daughter who resided with Irene, Dawn Garcia; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Darlene Carr of Fayetteville; her beloved granddaughter who also resided with Irene, Chezzrae; along with her other grandchildren, Lisa, Jimmy and Michael Carr. Her parents, her son Ed, and her granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn, also predeceased Irene. Dear Mom and Grandma, No words were spoken, you just closed your eyes and only God knows why!
