Ellis, Anna M.  class of 1936
March 10, 2008 Anna M. Ellis, 91, of Fulton, died March 10, 2008. A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Ellis had resided in Fulton since 1981. She had previously lived in Central Square for many years. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Fulton.She retired in 1979 from General Electric Company in Liverpool after 32 years. Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Fulton, Oswego, Phoenix and Volney Senior Citizens. She was a volunteer with Oswego Industries with their bowling program. Mrs. Ellis was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Ellis, who died February 12, 1998; three brothers, Max Barthel, Francis Michel and Otis J. Michel and one sister, Lucy Soble. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Langlois-Blackburn and Lucy C. Davis both of Fulton and Jane C. Brewer of Columbia, South Carolina; a son, Donald S. Wood of Syracuse; three stepdaughters, Joan Cronk of Granby, Ruth Farrar of Baldwinsville and Arlene Hughes of Florida; sister-in-law, Edna Michel of Parish; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 64 Gillespie Road, Fulton. Burial will be in the spring at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Ellis may be made to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, P.O. Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of CNY, 5005 Campuswood Drive, East Syracuse, NY 13057. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. www.fosterfuneralhome.com
