Dennis Morse and grandson, Vehjric Dupree spent the weekend at the family camp.  They went out for pizza and wings, played board games and visited the elks at the farm.  They watched a family of deer out in the fields eating.  While Grandma Jan and granddaughter Vanessa Dupree had a girls weekend making popcorn, watching movies and singing.  A great weekend for all.
Jean Nellis, Agnes Wilk, Nancy Bookheimer and Gretchen Sayer had lunch at the Brick House on Thursday, Nov. 8.  They all enjoyed good food and non stop laughs.
The Soup and Salad at the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian church was a delicious success.  Despite the nasty weather more than seventy folks stopped in to enjoy the café like setting with that family and friends atmosphere.  Edna Dean’s art display was praised continually throughout the day.  The members and friends of the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian church would like to sincerely thank the many hours and donations contributed by so many.
The Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service  will be held at the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian Church, 814 Rider Street at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 18.  All are welcome and are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food for the Parish Ecumenical Food Pantry.  The offering collected will be for the food pantry as well.
The first ever in Parish, Northern Oswego County American Cancer Society’s "Relay For Life" - June 2008.  The “Relay for Life” meeting held on November 7, at the APW Middle School cafeteria was well attended.  There were many enthusiastic people signing up for committees to help this great cause.  We have all been touched by loss to some degree by this horrific disease.   Listen to your heart, get involved. The next relay meetings will be held on Jan. 14, Feb. 11 and March 10, 2008 at 6 pm at the APW Middle School Cafeteria.  For more information contact Kim at 625-4122.
The Parish Town Historical Society will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14 , 7 p.m. at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium.
Parish Recreation open hours for November at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium will be 5-6 pm for children aged 5 to 9; 6-8 pm for 10 to 15 year olds and from 8 to 10 pm for 16 year olds and up.
The APW Annual Card and Game Party will be held Nov. 17 from 1 to 4 at the Russell-Horning  American Legion Post 601 in Parish. Cost $4.00.  Bring your favorite games and friends.  There will be door prizes and individual raffles throughout the day, ending with our annual item raffle. Refreshments will be served. All money raised goes toward scholarships for APW students.
