I just wanted to tell you all that Jackie and I made it back home safely..We sure had a rather long visit this past Summer..I all began on June 19, we left for NYS.
We planned on staying two weeks and ended staying Four months!! I was not feeling too 'hot' when we left.I though it was just a little 'Cold' but as we got near NYS the so called 'Cold' was in my back..
We attended Andrew Baxter's graduation ok...It was very nice..Andy is Kevin and Tina Baxter's son..Our Grandson..
For the next two days I was worse, so we asked Natalie, (our daughter) who is a 'RN' at Upstate Hospital what to do???? She said to go to 'Urgent Care' on Bear Road...So we did....This landed me into St.Joseph's Hospital for one month..They did back surgery..But that was not the only problem...The found a super bad infection called 'MRSA' or 'THE SUPER BUG' you hear about on TV...Well they had to send me to Upstate for more surgery on my back...After one more month in that hospital and a (hopefully) a very successful major operation..I was able to go to 'Natalie's home for 'Home Nursing Care' I had to return to the Hospital two weeks later because of some complications...this was another 2 weeks of 'Fun and Games'......So after all the problems were taken care of...we took off on October 17 for Daytona....AT LAST...
We did get to see a lot of the families, but I don't remember a lot of these visits, the type of drug they gave me kind of did a job on my memory....I'm Ok now...at least I think so....Jackie is not so sure sometimes....but she loves to pick on me!!  Now I would Never think of picking on her Nope Not Me :-)
So dear Family and good friends..Thank you all for the kind care and nice cards..  A special 'Thank You' to Natalie for sharing her home with Jackie and me..she was just Super...and Havanna and Reachel (our grandbabies)they were  kind and helping us...All the family came there to visit...I was 'Home-Bound' because of the nursing visit for my 'IV' Meds. and checkups and bloodwork at home...so getting out was hard to do....
The Saturday before we left our girls put on a HUGE THANKSGIVING DINNER for Jackie and me....It was just Grand!! What a nice thing to do for us...This was at Gary and Teresa's home over in West Monroe NY...
So Happy Halloween to you all...get the Snowblower gassed up and ready..you know whats coming..

Bill and Linda McNamara attended the Fort Ontario Ghost Tour.  There was first a short talk on the history of Fort Ontario, followed by a tour relating tales of former residents  who died at the fort, and some say, haven't really left it. It is an annual event and very interesting.
Harvey and Venita Ackley were in Rome, NY recently to attend the reunion of the Rome School retirees brunch. A great time was had reminiscing.
Venita and Harvey Ackley, his sister Arlea Farley and cousin Shirley Sanderson were in Rome recently to attend the Ackley reunion at the home of cousin Richard and Betty Ackley. A great meal was served and the "remember whens" were at their highest.
On Saturday the October 27, Mark and Sue Anderson of Clifton Park, NY visited Sue's sister & brother inlaw, Jack & Patsy Doyle in Oswego for an afternoon of catching up.   Mark’s son, John and his wife Amy along with the Doyle's children, Erin and Shawn arrived later for a family dinner.   The evening was enjoyed by all!
First ever in Parish, Northern Oswego County American Cancer Society’s "Relay For Life" - June 2008.  There will be an "Involvement" meeting on November 7, 2007 at 6 pm at the APW Middle School cafeteria.
