Ralph and Joyce Vesey of West Monroe , entertained a few guests on a recent Saturday evening. Those who attended were, Harold and Eleanor Kinney; Doug and Janice Clarke; Ruth Whitelaw; Don Jennings and Marlene Herrick. A great time, with lots of laugh's, was enjoyed by all !!!!

United Methodist Church ’s new pastor, Patience Kisakye (pronounced Chi-sa-chay) led the memorial worship service at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery chapel on Sunday evening, July 29.
Jean Nellis, Dora Karboski and Gretchen Sayer met with Carol Gray and daughter Gloria for lunch at Sylvan Beach .
All enjoyed seeing one another once again.
Chet and Gretchen Sayer were in Boston last weekend to visit her brother Don Harter and sister in-law- Dabby. Chet and Gretchen also visited with all the nieces, but Kim, as she and her husband are in Australia for three months.
Fred and Bridget Swartz were in Syracuse to attend the wedding of Denise
Rivera and Stanley Dlugozima at Hendricks Chapel on the Syracuse University campus. The reception was held at the Lodge at Welch Allyn in Skaneateles Falls . Many of Stanley 's APW friends were in attendance including Neil Bonzagni, Matt Fargo, Dave Faulkner, Eric Foertch, Ron Kittleson, and his brother in law Bill Ballard.
Kathy Swartz spent last weekend
with her sister Carrie Wells and family in Rochester .
Jim Laney flew home from Houston , traveled to Albany to join up with one brother and his sister for a trip to NYC. While in NYC, they met up with another brother and spent three days visiting friends and attended a concert. Then, all four, Jim, Bill, Carrie and Tom, came home to visit their parents, Bill and Luella Laney. The whole family attended a reunion in Oswego at Tom Amedio's, Jim's and Bill's cousin.
A BBQ chicken dinner fund-raiser to benefit the campaign to re-elect Steve Stelmashuck as the town of Parish supervisor will be held at the Parish Fire Station, 16 Union Street on August 18 from noon until 4 p.m. This $8 BBQ chicken dinner includes salt potatoes, baked beans, macaroni salad, beverage and cupcake. The Parish Faith Church of the Nazarene announces it's annual camp out weekend.
Local families are invited to join in the fun, Aug 17-19. The fun will take place in Amboy Center on Cable Road .

There are an average of 25 to 30 five to seventeen year olds learning skills and the joy of soccer every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Merrill Town Park . Miss Jamie of Right Step Dance Studio will be taking registrations for dance classes this fall on Thursday, August 23 at the Mills
and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium from 5 to 8 p.m. Miss Jamie is now offering adult jazz and ballet classes. The ballet, jazz and tap classes are offered to two year olds and up. The pointe classes are based on age and experience. The classes will be held on Wed. and Thurs. evenings and begin October 3 at the Parish Elementary School .
The return deadline for the Parish Economic Development Task Force town-wide questionnaire is quickly approaching. If you are a resident of Parish and have not yet filled out a questionnaire, please do so, the deadline is Sept. 3, 2007. There will be a public presentation with survey results at the Sept. 12 Parish Town and Village Joint Board at 7 p.m. at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium.
