Lewis DeGarmo is in the Crouse Irving Hospital, room 6040 recovering from a heart problem.  His daughter, Slyvia said he was doing pretty good.  Anyone wishing to send a card should send it to:
PO. Box 503
Parish, NY 13131

Lets show one of our long time friends that he still is fondly remembered and that we wish him a speedy recovery.

I received this note from Nancy Weaver Bookheimer, and would like to share this with all who know Lewis DeGarmo.  Mr. DeGarmo is the oldest living resident in Parish!  AND he still drives!  To have a conversation with Lewis is an experience to always be remembered. It is like opening a living history book of Parish, just to mention a few of his remembrances shared with me and always with a twinkle in his eye.  "As a young lad, he recalled looking in the windows (along with Andy Lewis and Lewis Henderson) at Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium when it was dedicated in 1925, seeing all the men and women of Parish that he admired all dressed up and wishing he was in there with them." or how he "trucked stones from the Salmon River Falls to the Candlelight Cottage for the fireplace."

God Bless you Lewis-
Mary Lou
