 July 6, 2007 Laura Y. August, 70, of Parish, NY, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY, after a brief illness. She had been a factory worker at G.E. and retired from Cambridge Filter in Liverpool. She was predeceased by her husband, Stan-ley, in 1981 and by one son, Stanely E., in 1978. She was
loved by many friends and family and spent many of her retired years doing what she loved: working at Lloyd's Tavern in Colosse. Surviving are her partner of 25 years, Larry Frary; one son, Ronald of Hastings; three daughters, Marie (Nelson) Moosbrugger of Hastings and Patricia and Donna August, both of Parish; her two sweethearts, her grandchildren Jared and Carley; two brothers, Doug Rood of Hastings and Richard Rood of Parish; seven sisters, Dorothy Strutz of Liverpool, Susan Romanowski of Parish, Nancy Taylor of Mallory, Rosemary Race of Parish, Roselyn McDonald of Parish, Jo Ellen Gates of Parish and Linda Myers of Hastings. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main St., Parish, NY. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. |
