Members of the
class of 1942 met at the home of Lloyd and Arreta Ware on Saturday, June 2nd for a light lunch, with a cake for the occasion. There was much reminisces’, joke telling, reading of “Senior” poems and just a great time. It didn’t seem like sixty-five years since they had graduated from Parish High School . There were eight members there with their spouses. Four of the classmates were unable to attend due to illness or other factors. In the evening they attended the banquet at the APW High School and Arreta wishes she
could have been near the piano as she remembers the words to both verses of the old alma mater. Before the lunch they held hands to say grace and remember our four classmates who have died: Eleanor Cusack Forbes, Michael Szbeniak, Arthur LaForce and Clyde Canfield. They look forward to their 70th anniversary.

Jackie and I will be leaving for our trip up 'NAWTH' on June 19th..Our grandson Andrew Baxter is graduating from APW on June 23rd...This will a wonderful day for him and all his family..It seems like just yesterday I was holding him in my arms and just looking into his cute smiling face.
Well after all these years..he's still cute and has a Special Smile for everyone.... Jackie and I will be staying at 'The Finnerty summer camp' this will be a nice treat just being on the lake..Party Time!!!
Our home in Florida is also on a small lake...so this will feel like home..the only thing missing will be the Hurricanes and Tornados...Oh well...I guess we'll just have to adjust..We lost our first house in Florida back in 1998...what a mess that was...So we bought another one in the same area...but we didn't plan on living in this home very long...just long enough to build a brand new house..made out of brick and cement...Super Strong!! Kind of like the story of the three little pigs!! The storms can 'Huff...and...Puff' all they want to..we'll hopefully will be
safe..
We hope to be able to visit with all our friends and family while 'In Town' we seem to miss several folks while there..but we really try.... We'll keep a sharp eye out for you all..we have seen lots of friends while having a nice lunch with Doug and Jani Clarke at the 'Mill Rest'
This place has always been a great place to see friends...this goes way back to the time I opened this place back in 1967...WOW...seems like ages ago....How many of you folks remember these good 'ol days??
Ok....I guess this will be 'Cheers' for now See Ya in Town....John O. Clarke
