The Parish Town Historical Society is pleased to announce a free concert open to the public with Mirjam Bauer of Germany.  Mirjam was a foreign exchange student here a few years ago.  Mirjam would like to give back to the community that made her feel at so much at home while staying here.  She will lift her voice in a variety of musical choices accompanied by pianist, Julie Raner.  The performance will begin at 7 PM at the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian Church, 814 Rider Street in Parish.  Refreshments will be served.
Doug and Mary (Drought) Houghton along with Bob and Linda (Drought) Raimo had a Drought/extended family reunion at the Houghton residence on Railroad Street in Parish on Sunday, July 30.  About sixty people attended from New Jersey, Ithaca, Greene, Florida, Maine, Fulton, etc.  The "chicken man" made delicious barbecue chicken again this year and the auction was another success with everyone able to bring home a treasure.
It was previously reported that Doris and Mitch Rozonkiewiecz were going to have their two grand children, Mikey and Shelby visit for a week. Well they did and a great time was had by all. Boating, tubing, fishing, swimming, miniature golf, bumper bowling, a trip to Howe Caverns, a surprise visit from Uncle Mitch and Aunt Patti of Chicago overflowed the week. Deb and her husband Mike came for their two children a week later and visited for 2 days before safely returning to their home in Cameron North Carolina. Before leaving Mikey and Shelby said they would be back next year and stay one day longer than this year. Doris and Mitch think their two grandkids are just great and somehow found the energy to keep up with them for the week.
Fred, Bridget and Kathy Swartz attended Harborfest, where they had an antique booth at the Heritage Foundation of Oswego County Show.
