Robert Carlton Fuller class of 1939
November 2, 2005 Robert Carlton Fuller, 85, of Parish, NY died
Wednesday at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse NY. Bob was a graduate of the
Parish High School, and after a post graduate year at the Manlius
School, he graduated from Syracuse University in 1943. He was a
member of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity and lettered in soccer. Always
active in those schools, he would ultimately be elected President of
the Syracuse University Parents Association and President of the
Manlius Military Academy Alumni Association. Bob joined and rose to
the Presidency of the Parish Oil Co., a Sunoco distributorship with
his father, former Congressman Hadwen C. Fuller, also of Parish. He
was active in numerous organizations including the Hiawatha Council
Boy Scouts, The Parish Public Library, and a member of the Parish
Presbyterian Church. Bob Fuller was active after his military
service in the American Legion and its various branches, and was
elected New York State Commander in 1960. He was a member of FAM 325
in Parish and Mexico, Media Temple and Shrine in Watertown, and the
Royal Order of Jesters where he became Director. Bob was an avid
golfer and enjoyed recently spending time in Lake Placid at Camp
Alloutte, and in Aiken, South Carolina at this beloved Palmetto Golf
Club accompanied often by his children and grandchildren in
that "family match" which will long be remembered. Surviving are his
wife of 58 years, the former Eloise Knapp; two daughters, Kay Daller
Spear, Phoenix, Arizona, Rillann Van Epps, Skaneateles, NY; one son,
Hadwen C. Fuller, Parish; seven grandchildren, Hadwen C. Fuller,
Darren Fuller, Reed Fuller, Katherine Fuller, Ansley Van Epps,
Elizabeth Van Epps and Dana Daller. Funeral services will be
private. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Harter Funeral Home,
2983 W. Main St., Parish, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions to
