The Parish Volunteer Fire Company will be providing Lenten dinners at the Parish Fire station, 16 Union Street each Friday of Lent, March 3 – April 7 from 4 – 8 PM or sold out. The prices are as follows: fish dinner $7; fish sandwich $4.50; seafood platter $9 and scallop platter $8. The dinners include coleslaw, country fries or macaroni and cheese, and dessert. Webelos:
Jonah Karboski, John Loura, Cole Pappa and Zachary Dennison have earned their fitness pin. Cole Pappa and Zac Dennsion are finishing their "Ready Man" pin. Jonah Karboski and John Loura have finished their "Citizenship Pin" requirements and went to the West Amboy Community church to help make pizza as part of their requirements.
Jonah Karboski and Zac Dennison went to the Klondike derby this year at the winter camp out the Boy Scouts do every year. They have a Cub Scout program on Saturday, several cub scouts from the district also attended.
Wolf's:
On Nov. 5 at the Cub Scout Pack 828 meeting Steven Miller and Jared Dennison received their Bobcat Patch. Devon Ackley, Steven Miller, Jared Dennison, Joseph Karboski, Joseph Baum and Sam Gregory each earned an Achievement bead for completing four Wolf Achievements.
A new scout, Corey Durham joined the Wolf pack on Dec. 5. At the Cub Scout 828 Pack Christmas party all the scouts received their Pine Wood Derby kits.
The Wolf's had pet night on Jan. 6. The Wolf's were able to bring and give a presentation on their pet at a den meeting. The scouts also built bird houses out of 3 liter soda containers.
On Feb. 6 a Pack swim night was held at the Pulaski High school . They also carved their Pine Wood Derby cars at Ed Karboski's home.
At the end of March, the Webelo's, Wolf's and Tiger's will be participating in an overnight camping trip at the Williamstown 4H Center.

Brittany Peck and Victoria Sookhiram have been working extra hard on their Biology project this week. They are both student's in Mr. Fox's Biology class at APW High School . The girls have spent hours researching the most common form of dwarfism, achondroplasia. They have taken
this research and applied it to their PowerPoint skills in order to clearly depict all that they have learned to their fellow classmates. We are confident that they will receive a grade reflective of all of their hard work. Henry and Mary Gloude and daughter Kristi of West Amboy invited Karl Mensch of Parish to Splash Lagoon, an indoor water park in Pennsylvania for two days of fun. A special
thank you to the Gloude family from Karl who had an awesome time.
Mr. Maxwell Swartz, son of Jonathon and Brenda Swartz of Rochester spent three days while off from school last week with his grandparents Fred and Bridget Swartz and his Aunt Kathy.
Parish Girl Scout Cadette/Senior Troop 710 were at the Carousel Mall on Wed. Feb. 22 learning about the different materials and purchasing material for pajama pants that they will be sewing under the guidance of designer Claudia Jarvis-Ginn. Kayla, Nicole and Tia Guindon, Kelly
Murphy, Heather Schmeling, Morgan Sobotka and Danielle Zender also held a cookie shop there, before heading to the Syracuse Dome for a Women’s basketball Girl Scout game. The girls met Girl Scout Junior Troop 43 members Courtney Cefaratti, Jaklyn Fisher, Abbie Mylchreest, Kristin Schmeling and Becky Trexler there. All enjoyed the opportunity, while there they spotted other girl scouts from the Parish area.
Lance and Whitney Petrie are the proud parents of a daughter, Aiden Shea Petrie. She was born in Albuquerque , NM on the evening of Monday, Feb.
27. Aiden weighed in at 5 lbs. 8 oz, 18 inches long, and a head full of dirty blond hair. Sharon DeNio House is a very proud grandma.
The Parish Town Historical Society will have their regular meeting at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium on 2938 East Main Street at 7PM on Wed. March 8.
