Subject: dive opportunity
Hey Jack, Just got off the phone with Jennifer Renzullo from UC Davis who is the field manager for a California Lost Fishing Gear Recovery Project. First week in December they are recovering fishing gear off the coast of Vandenberg around Danger Zone 4 so they went thru us for permission to dive off the coast. After talking with her and telling her we had a dive club on base she had mentioned that she was looking for some possible help diving off the West Tip of Catalina Island for a fishing vessel that went down there back some years ago and they would like to recover the net. She had said that it would be a 125+ ft dive with a decompression chamber on board for after the dive. She had also said they have their own contracted boat as well. I realize that this is way past my skill for diving so I told her I would pass the info along to you and see if anyone had this experience in the dive club. She had just asked what dive experience the dive club had for future endeavors. I figured that they do quite a bit of diving around here, so I thought I would throw the club out there. I will stop rambling, let me know if you have any more questions! Adam Murphy
