Hi Folks,

There is going to be another cleanup under Goleta pier, although it's
scheduled during the week (Thurs June 12). Let me know if you're
interested in helping in any way, or you can e-mail Jennifer Renzullo
directly. Because of the various government entities involved, you need
AAUS, or equiv (e.g. those of you who volunteer for ChannelKeeper, etc.)
certification to dive, but they also need support on the pier, as well
as kayak support.

If you have the day off (or want to take a day off for a good cause)
they certainly appreciate the help! On the weekend, they're cleaning up
at Avila pier, so you could help out there as well.

Attached is more information about the project itself, and what they've
recovered since they started.

The cleanup we did last year as a club was the pipeline, and maybe we'll
try to put that together again too. If you've been diving out there
recently, let me know how it looks, debris-wise.
