We will be clam diving at the wreck of the La Janelle this Saturday, Nov. 3. at 10am.
The dive is on or near the breakwater that used to be the luxury cruise ship La Jenelle.

To get to the dive site, head to Oxnard, exit at Victoria and proceed south on Victoria toward the Silver Strand.  Stay on Victoria until it ends, stay to the right (onto Anacapa possibly) until you get to Ocean Dr.  Turn left onto Ocean and proceed until it ends at the entrance to La Janelle Park.  Access to the parking lot requires 4WD, so expect a bit of a walk.  A map, which is much more descriptive can be found here.

We'd like to get a head count of how many to expect, so if you're planning on coming could you let me know?

hey noah,  the directions are take victoria ave until it ends stay to the right until you get to ocean ave turn left and take it until it ded ends thats the entrance to la jenell  if you have a four wheel drive or have aaa you can drive through the sand to the parking lot.  kay and I are plannning on takig the boat over. there has been some red tide but not down here yet so I'm hoping we'll be ok  do you have any idea how many people might be coming?
