Greetings, fellow divers!

Truth Aquatics is offering 20% off all 1-day trips to fish-counters in July.  In particular, teh Truth will go to Santa Cruz Island this Sunday, 8 July.  Spaces are still available.  The Truth Aquatics office has the REEF fish-counting forms.  I'll miss this trip, being in West Virginia.

The trip on 29 July also has space.  I'll be aboard and will show the REEF videos on local fish IDs and invertebrate IDs, for those who would like a refresher.

If you'd like to hear how REEF is using these data to understand effects of the marine reserves at the Channel Islands, Christy Semmens, Director of Science at REEF, will talk about their work at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum; and on Wednesday, July 11, at the National Park Visitor Center at the end of Spinnaker Drive in the Ventura Harbor.
