Although there is still snow on the ground, most of you are probably
itching to get out on the trails. As you know, keeping those trails
rideable requires a little bit of effort on our part.

There has been quite a bit of work done already this year toward
rerouting trails and opening up trails that are currently closed to
us at French Creek. Your participation in trail maintenance days
will only help our relationship with the park and make it more
likely that we can get new trails opened up.

So, please mark your calendars with the trail maintenance dates and
try to make at least one of them.

April 22 - French Creek

April 29 - Evansburg

May 27 - Marsh Creek

June 10 - French Creek

July 22 - Marsh Creek

August 19 - French Creek

August 26 - Evansburg

September 2 - Marsh Creek

October 7 - French Creek

The Evansburg trail day will be rescheduled due to inclement weather.

For this weekend - Sunday (August 13) is trail maintenance at French
Creek.

Mark Dickens is taking over for Jay as trail master at French Creek. It
would be great if we could have a big showing of people to help him out
so please make an effort to show up at French Creek at 9am Sunday
morning and do your part.

This weekend is a maintenance day at Marsh Creek
(www.patrailhands.org). We will meet at the boat launch area at 9:00am
Sunday morning.

The trails have really grown over due to the large amount of rain and
nice, warm temps. Cutting back vegetation will be our main focus so
please bring clippers or gas powered trimmers if you have them. Some
hand saws would also be a good idea.

I know that is a ways off, but I would appreciate folks marking it on
their calendars now. We have quite a bit to do out there (finish the
White trail and lots of trimming). If you have been out to Marsh Creek,
you know how badly the trails need trimming.

We will have some swag to give out and I will pick up some donuts and
coffee.

There will be additional reminders, just want to get this on everyone's
radar.

Feel free to bring your own tool(s) (shovel, metal rake, clippers,
hedge trimmer, chainsaw, Bobcat, etc.), otherwise there will be some
