Let me know about the regular ride I could help with that one I'm new to
this so I think it would be a good place to learn more. I wouldn't be

Mike Maul, AERC Membership Director, requested this posting to the regional
organizations, so I'm sending to the PNER list. If anyone is interested, the
contact info is below.

Julie

******************************************************
The Selection Committee wanted me to remind all nominees that anyone
who did not qualify for the National Training Squad in 2005 still has an
opportunity to qualify for the Squad as a "Late Addition" as explained
on page four of the Selection Procedures for the 2006 World Equestrian
Games endurance Championship National Training Squad and National Team.
(See below):

U.S. 2006 OBSERVATION TRIALS
1. To be considered for late addition to the National
Training Squad (applications received after the date of the final 2005
Selection Trial but before May 29, 2006 or for earlier applicants who
failed to qualify to the National Training Squad in 2005), horse/rider
combinations must complete at least one (1) Selection Trial, as an
applicant, in 2005 or an Observation Trial in 2006 within 130% of the
winning time at said Trial.

For example:If the winning time at a particular trial is ten (10)
hours, anyone who completed the ride in 13 hours or less, would be
eligible to be selected to the National Training Squad (10 hours x 1.3 =
13 hours). Those horse/rider combination(s) may then be named to the
National Training Squad via Late Addition selection as detailed in
Section "National Training Squad Selection" below.

2.The 2006 Observation Trials will be named by the
USEF Endurance HP Committee as soon as practicable after the 2006 FEI
Ride Calendar is finalized. It is anticipated that there will be no
less than two and no more than four 2006 Observation Trials named.

3. All applicant riders will be notified of any
changes to these Observation Trials as soon as practicable.

If any riders have any questions, please feel free to contact myself
or Linda Strelnik, Selectors Chair

Joining PNER is a great step towards connecting with other endurance riders.
Do you have a first ride planned? If there's anything I can do to make it
easier to take that next step, let me know.

Hi Darlene! Thanks! Yes, the folks from here posted to our list.
Seems all did well with the exception of Linda N. (Candians I mean) Don't
know what happened but hope it wasn't serious! We also learned it was wet!!
I hope not too wet! Last year was so nice - there's just no telling is
there?
Will look forward to the results being posted.

   Did anyone answer you?

From what I know most of your gang finished. Linda N got pulled though.
Nellie finished the 75, as did Kim...Brian and Darla both finished, as did
Julius and Don and Terry. Who did I miss? Joan F got done too, was very
happy.

This horse needs to find an owner TODAY or will go to auction. Born April 2005,
Half Arab/Half Mustang, gelding, all black with a star. 14 hds so far. Will
mature probably 15 hds. Has the laid back temperment, safe around kids. hauls,
clips, bathes, blankets, ties, and stands nicely for farrier. $600 or best offer
today. Lets help find this nice looking baby a home. She has photos. I saw some.
He looks more Arab than mustang with a very nice Arab head and looks like he has
the nice mustang legs/feet, great bone. Give her a call and save him from
auction. Stacie 360-220-1800/located Ferndale, Washington

Hi all,

I'm forwarding this announcement of a planned "Singles Ride" coming up
near Portland! Sounds fun for we equestrian singles!

~Sue Walz

***Singles Ride***

Date; Sunday April 9th

Where; Milo McIver State Park

When; 1:00 p.m. until you want to go. Park closes at 7:00 p.m.

Note; I could not make this an event due to McIver Park wanting to charge a
large fee. We will meet up and go ride. If this is turns out to be
something everyone would like to keep doing. I can plan more rides in
different areas.

· Like all State parks, McIver State park does have a day use fee of
$3.00.

· The ride will not be cancelled if it is raining.

· Please email back to say whether you are interested in attending or
not. If you have a single friend /friends coming please give me their
name/s, so I can get them added to the list.

· I will send an email out on April 5th confirming if you will be
attending.

· Email me if you need directions to the park. Include what area you
will be coming from so I can give appropriate directions.

· This is not an OET function.

· Leann White will not be responsible for any loss or damage to
anyone person, animal, or possessions.

· This ride was intended to get “single” people with horses together
to ride. Through poor clarification on my part I caused some confusion.
Please let me know if you're attending as a “single rider”. Of course all
and everyone is welcome.

· Continue to spread the word and my email address.
knotsoffun@...

· If anyone has any ideas for this ride let me know. I would like to
make this as fun as possible. Picnic / games / raffle ???

I would like to thank everyone for their interest, ideas, and spreading the
word. I’ve had the pleasure of emailing some very nice people.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi All,
I live in the Pacific Northwest ( Greater Seattle Area ) and I have a
thoroughbred mare that is off the track.
She is very sweet and I can ride her now but she needs some training to make her
a good saddle horse.
Does anyone know of a good trainer in my area?
Thank you,
Leanne

I'm passing this along for a friend who needs to thin her herd and really
needs to sell this mare. She owns the sire who is an extremely calm and
well mannered Anglo-Arabian stallion. All of his get have his very laid
back quiet personality. They also are vey well built with tons of bone.
Pepsi is a 5 year old mare who loves the trails. This family does trail
riding and some gaming and are working cow folks. She loves the water and
will go anywhere you point her. She has worked cows and is always the first
to the gate to go to work. She would be a great 4-H project. she does
perfect haunch turns. She loves to jump and is great with kids and adults.
She is pretty much bomb proof. She bathes, clips, loads, side passes,
backs, sides over to open gates and will work off leg pressure. She is
asking $2,500. She is located in the Yelm, WA area. You can call Jeanna at
360-400-2944 or 360-888-3758 for more information. Later, Kathy & Pat &
Nick (Paul, maybe you can pass this on to Perry, I have lost his e-mail
address somehow. Thanks!)

Thanks for all of the offers folks but I think I can fill the last
spot on a local B.C. team.

Ride on!

According to weather.com, the forcast for Moses Lake (about 15 miles north of
HOTR) for the weekend is Friday--cloudy, high 61, 20% chance of showers;
Saturday, partly cloudy, high 56, 20% chance of showers.

I would come prepared for anything. Last Sunday there was a brisk breeze
blowing, but mostly sunny. The wind seems to blow quite regularly there.

Trail conditions are excellent, the ground is damp but not muddy and no dust to
be found right now!

The cows are out in force--lots of new baby calves!

I am leaving for the ride site this morning, will have my cell phone on this
morning until about 10 AM, then will get it back on around 6 PM. 509-952-1256.
I will be out marking trail tomorrow also, same cell hours.

See you at the ride!

Just to let you all know.......Susan Favro with the Healthy Horse Network will
be at the ride. She will have all her inventory there, but is being discrete in
selling as it would have been another $100 permit for her to set up openly!

I will try to post something about the weather tomorrow before I leave for the
ride site.

Is there a list of teams and their respective rosters on-line?
I would like to be considered as a team member if a new or short-
staffed team is looking...

Thanks,
WES.
