PFM is a volunteer run quad skating club open to all women, even if you are first learning.
While the squad originally started as a way for a group of women to practice skating to prepare for Rat City tryouts, not all current members share that common goal.
Your participation in PFM does not quarantee a space on any team, nor is PFM affiliated with any league.
In order to participate in PFM practices (the first time), and for the safety of all participants, we require you to:
1. Email our coach Nate (doctornato@aol.com) to introduce yourself and for additional info. (Nate will assess your skills at your first PFM practice.)
2. Send an email to Jackie (jackieables@gmail.com) to let her know that you will dropping in to practice. (Please let her know which practice you will be attending.)
General rules:
1. You must be able to skate around the rink without falling or holding onto the wall and you must be willing to learn and work with the group.
2. It is highly recommended that you have the following gear: mouth guard, wrist guard, knee pads, elbow pads, helmets, and of course, skates.
3. Medical insurance is strongly encouraged.
4. You must pay a drop-in fee each time you skate. $12.00 for non-league members and $6.00 for league affiliation.
Practices are Sundays: 7-9 p.m. and Wednesdays: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
There are times when practices are cancelled, so keep an eye on this forum
for any schedule changes.
