Hey everybody. I'm very excited to say that I'm the guy who won the
Z3C that was up on ebay last week. I can hardly wait for the FedEx
man to show up at my office today or tomorrow with my big package!
The only sad news is that I blew the budget to get the frame/fork, so
it's going to be several more months before I've got the funds to
build it up. Oh, well. At least I'll have a really cool frame to
look at.
I do have a general question for the group. I've traded emails with
Jonathan at Parlee and know that I can send them back the frame to
have it inspected. He also told me for a bit more money, they could
strip off the clearcoat, replace the stickers (I'm not wild about the
red/yellow that are on it now) and do a full inspection. I'm fairly
sure that no warranty would be implied by this service. Is this
something that you guys would recommend? Clearly, money is a concern
because I'd have to wait that little bit longer to build it up, but
it's a bike that I'll have for a long time and I like the peace of
mind that comes from a full inspection by its makers.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I'll try to post some
pictures when it arrives.
Andy
