The 2007 USCA Western Regional Championships will be played August
9-12 at the Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards in Windsor, California. The lawns
at Sonoma-Cutrer historically have been some of the most celebrated on
the west coast, having previously hosted regional, national and world
championships.

The "new" Portland Croquet Club (PCrC) got off the ground last year,
playing on a fairly regular basis at Westmoreland Park. We ended the
year with 6 members; I am optimistic that we can double that this
year. Membership dues are again $125 and will be due April 1st. They
will run through April 1, 2008. We again have club play at
Westmoreland on Wednesday evenings, Sunday and other times when the
lawns are available. We hope to hold our first club play on Sunday
March 11 at 12noon (weather permitting).
By the end of last year the lawn at Westmoreland was in pretty good
shape. Steve and I have been working on the lawns this winter and
they will be in the same condition to being 2007.
We incorporated the PCrC last year. Presently, we have 3
officers/directors. I am serving a President, Steve Scalpone is
vice-president and Wally Clark is Treasurer. The annual meeting of
the PCrC will be April 1, 2007 at the King City Civic Association.
Our by-laws will be published following the meeting (assuming they are
adopted) and we will vote on officers. The PCrC plans to become a
USCA member club this year. I have requested the documents from the
USCA and expect it to become official prior to April 1st.

am a long time paper dealer who is finally, after thirty
years...beginning to phase out. I have a large collection of Vintage
Croquet material...ads, articles, drawings , cartoons
etc...from all eras.
I work on approval...sending a package for you to look over with no
obligation to purchase. You pay for what you want and return the
rest... I then send more at your request each month. This has worked
well for everyone...and because I am phasing out, my prices run from
one to five dollars with a lot price included.
Over the years, I have dealt with many museums, collectors and web
sites who buy for their archives and also to sell themselves...if
there are any other subjects of interest, please let me know. I have
everything
Please email me at gallopingbeggar@ adelphia.net... for details
