The Resort at The Mountain
September 1 - 4, 2005
The 2005 Oregon Open will be played on the Lawns at The Resort at The
Mountain in Welches, Oregon. The Croquet Lawns at The Resort are the
finest lawns the state has to offer; located in the scenic highlands
of Mount Hood National Forest, 45 minutes east of Portland just off of
Highway 26. Registration is limited to 28 players.
All participants will play in at least three games a day during block
play. Play will be governed by USCA Rules. Flight assignments will be
made at the discretion of the Tournament Director and will be based
primarily on USCA Handicap, but in general:
"A" Flight 0-5
"B" Flight 6-10
"C" Flight 10+ (if there is enough interest)
Tentative Tournament Schedule:
Thursday September 1 – Lawns Open for Practice beginning at 3:00
PM
Friday September 2 – Singles Block Play; Player's Reception
Saturday September 3 – Singles Block Play; Player's Dinner
Sunday September 4 – Singles Playoff Ladder/Championship
Tournament fee is $195 and includes: coffee, fruit & pastries each
morning; lunch each day; Player's Dinner on Saturday. Also, there
will be a "no host" Player's Reception on Friday.
Canadian players
can pay in Canadian currency (U.S equivalent).
Special room rates will be made available through The Resort.
