The Olympics take place only once every four years... yet the memories of the Games live on long after the flame has been extinguished at the Closing Ceremonies.

Wrestling was an integral part of the ancient Olympics... and has been a key sport at the modern Games as well. At the 2004 Olympics, women's freestyle wrestling will join men's freestyle and men's Greco-Roman competition for the first time... the only new sport for the Athens Games.

This Yahoo group is dedicated to all the great Olympic wrestlers of today and yesterday... with tons of photos and articles showing all-time great grapplers and most exciting moments from various Olympics. (One prime example: the 2000 Sydney Olympics Greco-Roman superheavyweight gold-medal match between Russia's Alexander Karelin and USA's Rulon Gardner, shown here.) You're invited to share your photos, stories and memories with your fellow fans.

A FEW POSTING GUIDELINES
To make sure you and your fellow Olympians have a winning experience, please follow these rules of good sportsmanship:
1. No obscenity, vulgarity, threatening language or taunts.
2. No discussion of pro rasslin' or rasslers unless it is within the context of Olympic wrestling, such as a pro rassler who once competed at the Olympics.
3. This is not an advertising forum. Posts plugging off-topic websites (gambling services, for instance) will be deleted, and offending members will be bounced from Olympic Wrestling.
4. Be respectful of your fellow members. No slams or flames. Think: Would I say this to the person's face?

Violators will be warned by the moderator. If violations continue, the moderator will exercise his right to ban the offending member from this Yahoo group.
