Slowing down a bit two days ago while turning at a corner I met some
pedestrians and a car witch forced me to brake a bit harder pushing/pulling
harder on my handlebars and there my Cinelli "TEMPO" Aluminium 7075 alloy
"Erin-bars" snapped! Now I know why I heard some creaking noice when I was
standing, going uphill the day before. In my experience this creaking noice
can come from various "contact-points" like for example crank/BB so I
thought I had to put some grease at the handlebar/stem.
For the moment I've turned to Deda drops but don't feel quite comfortable
with them. Now, I don't want to start a new thread on what type of bars
people think are the best I just wondered if anyone ever had this experience
and if anyone know if there are someone that makes a bullhorn handlebar in
steel? Anyone out there that uses the Nitto RB-018ECO and has had the same
experience?
Play safe.
