My $.02
With the cost of volunteering so expensive today, why
should there be any membership dues for those, whose
presence is necessary, for the events to happen at
all. Besides my membership, for each event, I need
$50 just to fuel my car to and from Mid-Ohio, or
Nelson Ledges. Add other cost for being there and a
racing season has gotten very expensive. Something I
have been thinking twice about; whether I can afford
it or not.
I agree that the membership is a problem with
attracting new workers, but also think the rising cost
is another reason that many experienced workers leave.
