The Ocmulgee Mountain Bike Association will conduct a beginner's
mountain bike clinic Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the
Georgia Industrial Children's Home on Mumford Road in Macon (AKA Pig
Trail). A cookout will follow the clinic, which is free. All riders
must have helmets and their own bikes.
Do you have a mountain bike but don’t feel comfortable riding on dirt?
Want to improve your skills? We'll share some tips to help you enjoy
your fat tire bike. All ages are welcome, but please, no bikes with
training wheels. Riders must be able to ride unassisted. We’ll share
tips on shifting gears, turning, braking, climbing and descending
hills, riding over roots, setting up your bike, and more. Don’t be
embarrassed if you’ve had your bike a while and haven’t figured it all
out. We’ll help you!
Please RSVP to kath.oneal@... so we will have a head count for
the clinic. Questions? Feel free to email or call 954-6414 and ask for
Kathleen.
We'll also be having a membership drive. All OMBA members are
encouraged to come out and enjoy some riding, food, and fellowship.
Please e-mail bodytecfitness@... if you're planning to come for
the cookout.
