Here is an Ofoto album with around 115 pictures from Saturday's "Brews and Bruises" tournament at OSU in Stillwater, OK.  Many of them are of my team (the Mummies) .. and the teams we played .. but I tried to take a few other pictures just walking around the fields.  I started off with somewhere around 400 pictures, after making 4 or 5 passes through them, deleting duplicates and blurred images as well as cropping images.. I think we have a few decent pictures.  Let me know what you think!

For those that haven't used Ofoto before, it's real easy to use.  You will need to create a login, but it is FREE and EASY .. and they DO NOT spam you.  You can order prints directly from their site .. they have a sizing tool that tells you how large you can print the image and still keep a good quality.  I have one picture in my house that I took on my camera and had Ofoto print in a 30"x40" .. and it is crystal clear.

Anyway - here is the link:
http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=1714gjov.3ip9i33j&x=1&y=fy4ufh

Also - best wishes to Jennifer Bell.  She tore her ACL during the games on Saturday and will be having surgery in about 4 weeks time (the doctors told her this morning that she needed to wait 4 weeks to let the swelling go down to minimize scar tissue from the surgery).  She is going to miss Winter League and some play early next season .. but she promises to be cheering us on!  Get well soon Jen!!  She promises she will party like a Rock Star this Saturday night at JT's !!

Thanks also to the OSU group for putting together such a fun tournament!  We look forward to seeing many of you down here in Dallas/Denton for Jingle Bell Hell the first weekend of December!

If anyone wants soft copies of these pictures, I'll turn on my ftp server tomorrow .. drop me a note and I'll set you up an account so you can ftp them from me directly.

Ultimate!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages,

It's that time again!  Denton Ultimate will be hosting the new and improved Jingle Bell Hell, 2004 edition.  We have made changes and additions that will keep you rockin' into the New Year!  Here are the basic details:

WHO:

There will be three divisions this year.  We will have a College Open and College Women's division and, back by popular demand, the Co-ed division.  For the colleges, this will be a final tune-up before the spring semester.  And for all you crazy co-ed kids, it's on as usual.

WHEN:

December 4-5 2004

WHERE:

Denton, TX. We’re not as metropolitan as the Big D, but we're way more fun.

$HOW MUCH$

$ 150.00 per team

WHY:

Well, we'll do any thing for a party, and those of you that have been before you know we can throw down.  And besides, what better way to kick off the Christmas season than with Good friends, Good fun and a whole lot of ultimate!!

ALSO:

This is a charity tournament, benefiting Santa's Helpers.  So if for nothing else, do it for the kids.

OK, More details to come.  Check out the UPA tournament page for more info and links.  The web site will be and running soon.

Disclaimer:  Sorry for the mass e-mail and any and all duplications.  It's just the way it goes. Remember, tell your friends, so I don't have to. :)

Hello friends and teammates of Ultimato,
This is your treasurer Zeus

With the new high-tech invention of rain there are a few set backs in
the world such as the cancellation of the Intramural games which
only effects us second handedly; that is we will not have lights for
practice tonight. And it is great to have a day off every now and
again, but we have a big tournament this weekend (in Norman you may
recall and bring money by Wednesday if at all possible).

So to prevent a major decline in ability and skill right before
the "Nasty" I called your officers and we more or less agreed
on
practice at ultimate 5:00 p.m. behind the Colvin. So what I'm
really
saying is practice is on and it is at ultimate 5 in the now usual
spot.

greets all,
I was wondering who is still around during the summer and if you were
willing to get together and throw the disc around or maybe do some
ride-sharing to Tulsa for practices there.

How many players from Stillwater are interested in the KC tournament May
15-16? I think Pat Logan has expressed an interest, but since I have not
been out this week I am not sure who else is planning on going. Tulsa/OK
will have a team. I will be driving and can take 1-2 other people.

Hello, OSU Ultimate,

I have not opened my yahoo email account since I graduated,,,anyway,
I have some emails from Sports Council Treasurer dated in January and
February, talking about some meetings for fund allocation. These
emails were sent to all the presidents and treasurers and mail box at
recreation center (which the emails indicated). I am sure that your
president or current treasurer already took care of it, but I just
wanted to let you know about it. I know it's already April, but if
you would like to have those emails forwarded to you, please let me
know.

I am very sorry for this, if you guys have had any trouble.

In addition, please make sure to let Ms. Bonnie Kolb know that I
already graduated and got expelled from the U.S. to Mexico.

See you some day.

those far and away,

I asked the PIKE guys and they said the tournament is
open to anyone. The entry fee is 75 bucks a team and
the roster size max is 11. The games are played under
intramural rules with 7 on a side.

If you want one of us to sign up a team for you that
could probably be done. The deadline is 4/16 at noon,
but if we begged it could be possible to sneak a team
in late.

Christian Westhof here. Heard rumor of an Ultimate tournament hosted by one

non-college teams allowed to enter. Some friends and I are interested in
entering, and I am writing to know if that's possible. Any feeback would be
greatly appreciated. Much thanks, fellas.

Hey All,

Just a reminder that Wichita is having its first ever tournament, and we
want you to be a part of it. The First Annual Cow Town Throwdown Hat Draw
Tournament will be held May 22-23 right here in Wichita, KS.

The cost is only $10, payable on arrival.

Just go to our website at: http://www.geocities.com/wsu_ultimate/Main.html,
fill out the registration form and email it back to us. It's that simple.

Don't forget that this tourney is open to everyone, men and women. There is
no set coed format, as it will depend on how many women attend.

We will be having a party Saturday night at the River City Brewery featuring
live music, good food, and the Brewery's own tasty microbrews.

More information is available at our website.
http://www.geocities.com/wsu_ultimate/Main.html

Thanks, and we hope to see you there!

Brad Lauritsen - Wichita State Wu Shux

P.S. If there is only one reason to come to this tournament, it should be to
see our mascot, the frisbee catching cow! Okay, it is not a real cow, but a
small hand crafted sculpture of a cow catching a frisbee, but it is still
pretty cool...

Hey gang

I noticed that the Pikes are hosting an ulti tourney in a few weeks
(24th & 25th), I think we should field as many teams as we can, esp.
co-ed since we have some women that are really good. Anyone have more
information like team size and if they will have co-ed teams? That
wasn't one the fliers.

stillwater 5. itll be good times
So, i encourage you all to come and so if you can let me or daniel

and we will let you know officially how much it will be closer to the

Practice will be at 2pm at the IM fields (Next to the Wellness
Center, where Intramural football was last fall) for those of you in
town on Monday, we are starting early because it should be the
warmest part of the day, aparently James has already told some
people this time, and because we don't have lights.

If someone has a bulk e-mail I sent out last December please re-send
this to everyone so the new people get it today, I don't have an e-
mail list on me.

thanks,
Keith

Hey, all,

Can you believe Kiyoshi's using this message group, even though he
said this message board was gay. Anyway, being a treasurer this
semester, I had a good time and I hope I helped the club running. I
am sure the next treasurer, Deborah, is awesome and she will kick
everyone's ass. It's been fun to play ultimate and have parties with
you guys. Keep on playing ultimate and going to tournaments. I'll see
you somewhere and sometime a tournament is going on.

I will be kicked out from my apartment as soon as the final is over,
so I just would like to let you guys know that peace and quite is
around the corner. Anyway, nice to meet you all and thanks for
dealing with this crazy party animal.

Kiyoshi

P.S. I'll be in Tulsa till Chrismas---you can imagine what's going to
happen the next few weeks in T-Town, right? I'll keep my cell phone #
until I move, so call me if you want to get crazy. Or, come to
Tulsa's ultimate practice.

hey, on friday night if you all could not park in the neighbors yard
across the street that would be awesome, you can parallel park in the
street but not in the yard next to the jeep or they might have you
towed cuz their landlord is an ass... thats i really have to say.
See you all friday.
