Last ten for bike parts and offer for contribution   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #405 of 426 |
I am going to list my remaining bike parts for sale until the end of April.
After that, I will keep a very few parts and donate the rest to Oklahoma bike
causes.

I have been donating to the Tulsa Community Cycling Project for the past few
years, but they have had a change in leadership and I have not heard if they are
still interested in bike part contributions this year. If you know of a worthy
bicycling project that qualifies as a charitable contribution, please let me
know.

If you live in Oklahoma, there are some really great local pick up only prices
on wheelesets, trainer, complete bike, frame, bike carriers, etc.:

PICK-UP ONLY IN OKLAHOMA, NO SHIPPING (due to size and shipping costs)

(1) My personal ride. Vintage 1988 Schwinn Paramount Fiftieth Anniversary
complete bike, built in the legendary Waterford factory, measures 56cm from the
center of bottom bracket to the top of the top tube with a 55.5cm top tube. The
frame and fork are painted a beautiful Racing Red. The paint is in very good
condition, owing both to the quality of the initial paint job and the care that
was taken in protecting this frameset over the years. The paint was hand
sprayed, with two coats of epoxy primer followed by four to five coats of
acrylic urethane enamel color and protective clear coats.

This lugged steel frame was hand built and silver brazed to within .005"
alignment tolerance by some of the most revered master craftsmen in the history
of frame building. The decal on the steel tubing shows it to be Columbus SLX,
which was the high-end steel available when this Paramount was built in the
famous Waterford factory in 1988.

The frame has investment cast lugs and bottom bracket shell. There are two sets
of water bottle bosses, pump peg and chain hanger, and the rear brake cable is
routed on the top of the top tube. All of the tubes have been treated with
Boeshield T-9 rust prevention spray.

The components are all high end as well. The brakes, cranks, 9 speed STI
shifters, derailleurs, bottom bracket, chain, cassette (12/27), headset, and
hubs are all Shimano Ultegra. The wheels are now black Mavic Open Pro's with
Michelin tires. There is a Thomson seatpost, Specialized BG saddle, 3T stem,
Look-type pedals, and an Axiom wireless bike computer. The components all have
less than 1000 miles on them.

This is a very nice looking and great riding bike at a fantastic price. There
are some touched-up paint chips and a couple of chips to the decals, but this is
a used and ridden bike that is in very good condition and has been well
maintained.

Paramount's have an impeccable reputation for quality workmanship and wonderful
ride. $750 for the complete bike picked up.

(1) This Bianchi Trofeo frame with matching fork is in very good condition and
will be a beautiful looking and riding bike when built up. This frame measures
55.5cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube, or
56.5cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube, with a
55.5cm top tube and a 133mm headtube.

The frame and fork are painted Ferrari Racing Red with bright white decals
outlined in black. The frame is fully lugged using Bianchi Exclusive Dedacciai
Zerotre steel tubing. The downtube is ovalized at the bottom bracket shell for
both stiffness when climbing and sprinting, and for strength. The fork is a
unicrown threaded model with 1" steerer. This frame and fork were made in Italy.

The rear chainstays measure a longish 42cm for comfort and stability, with
vertical dropouts that are 130mm wide. This frame uses a clamp-on front
derailleur, has two sets of water bottle bosses, and the rear brake cable is
routed through split stops on the top of the top tube. There are some touched-up
paint chips, and of course a mark where the clamp-on derailleur was installed,
but there are no rust or dents as this frame and fork are in very good
condition. All of the tubes and fork have been treated on the inside with
Boeshield T9 rust prevention spray. There is a headset installed, but it is a
no-name model and is too rough to use unless you want to try and overhaul it.
$125 picked up.

(1) New in box Rhode Gear Bike Shuttle. Great way to carry your bikes safely and
securely and still have room for other stuff. This is new in the box. I have
used one for several years to carry my bikes in my Honda CRV's. The fork mount
towers can be slid along the rail for custom placement of the bikes. Extruded
aluminum rail, die-cast aluminum mounts, 9mm skewers. The slotted endcaps let
you strap the rail inside of your truck bed, van or SUV. Carries up to four
bikes with the new in box additional towers I am including. All you have to do
is remove the front wheel and put the front fork dropouts in the skewer...easy,
fast, and secure! 44" long by 6" wide. $50 picked up.

a pothole: $65 picked up.

anodized rims, what look to be double butted spokes, red IRC tires, and no
skewers. Believe these were built by Wheelsmith. They are 32 spoke front and
