The 2006 Oklahoma Bicycling Coalition Bicycling
Accident Surveys will close May 31, 2007.
If you suffered a bicycling accident during 2006
we'd like to know about it.
Responses so are about half of 2005. Maybe bicyclists
are riding safer!
There are now two surveys: one for road bicyclists,
one for trail/mountain bicyclists. The links below
will take you to the appropriate survey.
How do you decide which to take? If your accident
occurred on a street, road or multi-use trail runners,
skaters, walkers, etc) use the Road Survey.
If your accident occurred on a mountain bike trail
(typically single track) or off-road area use the
Mountain Bike Survey.
Its not the style of bike, but the location that's
important!

(Yahoo Newsgroups do funny things to links. If it's
broken just copy the text above into your browser
address bar with no spaces.)
The 2005 survey showed bicycle accidents are under
reported, mainly because if the police aren't called,
no statistics are sent to DPS.
Many communities are now planning improvements to
bicycling facilities and this information can help
them learn what causes bicycle accidents and hopefully
correct problems before they are built.
All responses are anonymous. The surveys will close
on May 31, 2007. If you know someone who had a
bicycling accident in 2006 please point them to the
proper link.
Results will be posted on the yahoo Oklahoma cycling
newsgroups.
Thanks for your help.
