FS: 55cm Ciocc frame, fork, Campy headset and bottom bracket   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #340 of 426 |
This Ciocc Designer '84 Microf C. 40 frame and fork is in very good condition,
and comes with an Campagnolo headset and bottom bracket. Ciocc framesets have a
reputation for being great riders, and I have no doubt this one will be also.

This frame measures 54.5cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center
of the top tube, or 55.5cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of
the top tube, with a 55cm top tube.

The paint scheme is charcoal flat black and bright white with nicely coordinated
decals and accents. The rear seat and chain stays and fork are chromed. The
frame was built in Italy of legendary Columbus SLX tubing, which over the years
has been my favorite tubeset of all that I have ridden or owned.

This Ciocc has two sets of water bottle bosses, braze-on front derailleur tab,
rear brake cable housing routed inside the top tube, rear derailleur cable
routed inside the right chain stay, Campagnolo horizontal rear dropouts (with
adjusting screws) that measure 127mm wide, and a 1" threaded fork with
Campagnolo dropouts. Ciocc is engraved on the top left of the bottom bracket
shell and on the fork crown.

This bike is used and has been ridden, thus there are some signs of use and
paint chips and scratches, with the most noticeable being scratches on the right
side of the top tube. The chrome is in good condition, with scratching on the
inside of the right rear dropout from probably chain drop and some pitting on
the leading edge of the fork legs and crown. The seat tube is very clean and
clear and has been treated with Boeshield T9 rust prevention spray.

Lots of pictures available for the asking. $395 picked up in McAlester or $425
professionally packed, shipped, and insured.
