OK, small world here. The Paso Fino I recently bought was bred
by Patty O'Rourke. He's got great bone, plenty of "Go!", and we
seem to click. Don't get me wrong, he has his issues, but nothing
I haven't been able to work with thus far (note the "thus far"!).
He's done endurance before, and seemed to do better at 50's
from what his former owner and endurance rider told me.
He's had four or five years off, so it's going to take some time
to get him back into shape, but I think he'll get there OK.
Prineville will be our first ride. Man, am I looking forward to it!
Maybe Paul will let us ride with him to the first vet check so that
my horse (nicknamed "Diablo"!) doesn't have a total meltdown
when the Arabs run off ahead of him. ;-) We'll be sure to report
back afterwards - if I live to tell about it. ![]()
