Jackie,

I just joined the group and came accross your note. This is my second "serious"
year
riding endurance. We did 10 LD rides last year and two 50's so far this year,
so I
don't know if we qualify.

Pete is a nine year old Paso Fino. I don't cantor him uphill at rides, because
it runs his
heart rate up too high, but I do cantor him uphill on training rides. Also, I
gait him
down hills pretty fast without any problems. His downhill speed frequently
scares
me. He wants to go faster than I let him. He has not come up lame once in his
life
yet (knock on wood).
