----- Original Message -----From: BradSent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 9:32 AMSubject: [NorcalF200] The '06 Season is OverThe NFRA season has officially come to an end. What a GREAT year it
was! We started out the year with just 3 of us running in the club
races at Prairie City and ended up the year with 7 in the class
racing not just at PC, but Davis, Dixon, California Speedway, and
Santa Maria as well. I know that personally, I consider '06 a huge
success!
I'd like to take a minute to give a special thanks to a few folks.
First, thank you VERY much Todd Hinton from Hinton Motorsports. As
the primary sponsor for the class in NorCal we couldn't have had the
success we've had without your dedication and support. In fact, if
it weren't for you I would have probably missed half the races this
year. :)
Next, you can't have a series if you don't have motors and I think
we have probably the best motors around thanks to James at Auto Pro
Racing Engines down in Goleta. James builds some really stout
motors and is constantly doing R&D on these things to make them even
better. It's too bad Goleta/Santa Maria are so damn far away and we
don't have to opportunity to run with James in more races.
What makes the F200 class so much fun is the drivers. We are lucky
that we don't have an idiot or two in our midst like most other
classes. No one thinks they are battleing for a Cup ride or puts
safety aside just so they can win a $6 trophy.
You can't mention drivers without mentioning Billy Bowerman. Anyone
that has ever watched an NFRA race knows that Billy is the class of
the class (not to mention the class clown as he makes me LMAO every
race weekend). Billy is always there for us willing to share his
thoughts and experiences to help make us allllll better. I know we
all appreciate that and thank you.
Oops, this is getting kind of long so I'll wrap up. The '07 season
is just around the corner and I look forward to seeing you all out
at the track.
Brad
P.S. Look for an announcement soon regarding our next NFRA meeting.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
