Surfing in sewage. No fun.  It stinks, it looks bad and can give us all kinds of fancy unpronouncable diseases. Fortunately, the Clean Water Act requires that sewage be treated before it's discharged into streams, lakes and drinking water sources.

 

A couple of months back, Bush's EPA proposed a new policy that allows sewage to flow during rain storms without full treatment. Not good. They're taking comments on the issue until January 9th.
