Recommendations for good surf camps in California?   Message List

Hi all,
 
my friend christophe is a surfer who i met earlier this year while i was in portugal at a surf camp.  he would like to come to california to surf.  anyone know of reputable surf camps i could refer him to?  (northern or southern CA both ok).

i would like to ask you something ,
i've been searching in the internet a few tim's to find a surfcamp in california but couldt really find anything descent
and i thought maybe you could help me since you live there
maybe if you could help me where to search to find any surfcamps in california and when would be the best time if the year to have prferably warm or al least not very cold water and good wave's for my level of surfing
