It is that time again to sign-up for the annual NCWSC surf trip to
Costa Rica.
Exciting news! We have moved to a new beachfront hotel located at our favorite surf break Playa Carmen. That’s right…just roll out bed and be in the surf in under a minute. That sounds like heaven to
me!!!
The 7-day/6-night surf adventure is all inclusive: beachfront accommodations, swimming pool, and 3 healthy meals per day. Activities include: daily surf and yoga instruction, unlimited snorkeling, and outings that will introduce you to the local culture. To add to the "pura vida" vibe, we provide you with a relaxing one-hour private massage.

Surfing the tropical waters of Costa
Rica, practicing yoga under a canopy of palm trees, watching the sun melt into the ocean while swinging in a hammock, dancing salsa, meeting new friends, and feeling the "Pura Vida" vibe of Costa Rica. We hope you join us in an experience of a lifetime!

This is what a typical day at the camp looks like: 
7am yoga
8am breakfast
9am surf instruction
noon lunch
4:30pm evening surf - "Sunset Surf"
7:30pm dinner
Other activities may include: Spanish lessons, nature hike,
salsa dancing and more.
Area activities offered outside of camp: horseback riding, snorkeling, canopy touring, to name a few.

Pura Vida Surf Adventures
Our surf camps are Expansive beaches and a tropical rain forest surround Malpais, creating fascinating landscapes and stunning views. This region is also a haven for all levels of surfers. The main beaches, Playa Carmen and Santa Teresa, provide easy, fun waves in which to learn while the
surrounding area has it all... point, reef and beach breaks.
Our new location, Tropico Latino, is a real surfer's paradise, located at our favorite surf break, Playa Carmen. Ocean view
accommodations amidst tropical gardens flow onto an expansive white sand beach, combining the best natural elements Costa Rica has to offer. Hidden beneath the colorful foliage, you can enjoy a swim in our crystal blue pool, or simply lounge in a beachfront chaise or hammock while taking in the beauty of the warm sparkling waters and deep red sunsets. Just walk out your front door and be at the beach and surf in under a minute. The hotel's close proximity (walking distance) to a nearby vegetable and fruit stand, restaurants, shops and nightlife activities add convenience and more adventure to explore.
Surf Instruction
Our daily surf lessons are approximately two hours in time and include all the equipment you'll need. For beginners, we will teach you proper surfing etiquette, water safety, wave riding skills, and paddling techniques. For the more advanced surfers, our instructors will fine-tune your skills, work with you to extend your ability, and be your guide to the different surf spots in the area. Depending on the swell conditions and your level of experience, our expert instructors will work with you to decide which break best fits your ability. Our surf instructors are Pura Vida certified instructors. Each instructor is trained on our PVA methodology on how to make beginners "surfers" and to achieve the more advanced surfer's goals. We have taught a wide range of surfers; ones who have never surfed before to surfers who have surfed almost everyday for 15 years. Our instructors are familiar with all the breaks in the area.
