for your surfing pleasure we've planned a surfari road trip to San Onofre for the last weekend in May (the wkend after Memorial Day).   we'll surf on the way to and from San O and will enjoy watching (and/or participating) in the all-women Wahine West Coast Championships which are at Churches (SanO) on Saturday morning the 31st.  

 

All are welcome to join - the more the merrier!  

 

San Onofre is about and hour & a half south of LA, and north of San Diego.   the water is much warmer and the surf options are many.  we've got 2 camp sites booked at San Onofre State Beach Park for Fri and Sat nights - with easy access to all the surfing at SanO.  for those of you who have surfed SanO, you know how good it can be (home to legendary breaks old man's, churches and trestles).   for those of you who haven't surfed it...i can't tell you how much fun it can be...probably one of the most beautiful (and consistent) spots on the coast.

Fri 30th am:  leave SF, drive to San O with stop(s) along the way to surf

Fri night, Sat night:  camp at SanO

Sat day, Sun morning:  surf & play as much as possible

Sun 1st noon-ish:  leave SanO, drive to SF, with surf stop along the way if it's still good and we still have energy...
