Saladita versus Troncones   Message List

Hi all --

I'm planning a surf vacation to mexico this spring and we're thinking
of going to either Saladita or Troncones. I'm going with a couple of
friends who are still basically beginners, so it would be best to be
near a mellow, not too crowded break. Ideally we'd like to stay
somewhere that has a kitchen and where we could walk to the break, so
we don't have to spend a lot of our vacation in a car. We're leaning
towards going to Saladita, but also thinking of Troncones. I'd love to
hear from anyone who's been to either with thoughts on the breaks or
recommendations of places to stay, etc.

Thanks

Trish

Saladita is basically nothing but a perfect longboard surf break with a couple of small locally-owned restaurants on the beach. There really isn't a "town"...
