i haven't heard of that particular project, but i've been to samara
where its held.
its beautiful. ive only been there in jan-march and there are plenty
of turtles that come out during the arribada (when the turtles come out
of the water and lay their eggs). its pretty incredible. samara is
gorgeous, its pretty isolated, but also a little bit of a tourist stop
on the way to/from some surf spots. samara isnt as consistent of a
break as other surf spots, but its really nice there. i know that a
bunch of the turtles are in trouble. people steal the eggs for food as
they are allowed a certain number to take and then birds, etc go for
some also.
