Re: Any suggestions on good beginner surf spots in santa cruz?

yes. not really Santa Cruz but next door in Capitola. I just spent a week down there with my family for a vacation. My daughter has been learning to surf and I was boogie boarding. There were small to medium waves for her and larger waves for me with my flippers and board¡Ä

this is the main Capitola beach-but at the Southern end past the breakwater. It¡Çs kid soup on the right side of this spot, but is pretty easy to get in on the left side of the break where the waves are bigger, but roll in nice and smooth.

I'm a fairly new surfer and normally go to Linda Mar but I'm heading to Santa Cruz this weekend. Any suggestions on beginner friendly spots? Thanks!...
