AWA Interview with "Not Cocky Chaysn Rance   Message List

A Living Legend, The Renaissance Man and "Not Cocky"
Team Vision Set's Their Sights on the AWA

Team Vision may very well be the smartest tandem in professional
wrestling. First, "Not Cocky" Chaysn Rance has continually attempted
to challenge AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion "Krazy K" not only
physically but emotionally – challenging the Champ while injured.
Next, it was Mister Saint Laurent, the self described "renaissance
man" and captain of Team Vision, ensuring their teams participation
in the AWA World Tag-Team Championship tournament. Then, literally
out of nowhere, Larry Zbyszko has announced his intentions of
returning home to the AWA. Holding back nothing, Zbyszko continues
to claim that he's the "real" AWA World Heavyweight Champion, having
never actually lost the title. With Zbyszko and Rance unable to be
reached for comment, Mister Saint Laurent was more than willing to
talk everything Team Vision.

Andy Mancini: Some readers might not be familiar with you. So if you
could, please tell us a little about yourself.

Mister Saint Laurent: If your readers don't know who I am, then they
must not be very dedicated fans. As far as I'm concerned, if you
don't know who Mister Saint Laurent is, then you really have no idea
how this sport operates or who controls it. Maybe I shouldn't fully
blame the fans, as really the promoters are also to blame for
allowing my reputation to discourage them from honestly assessing
what I bring to the table. I'm 6'3" and over 400 pounds. I'm the
most athletic super heavyweight of the modern generation. I'm an
accomplished musician, poet, and juggler. I'm one of the most
controversial and polarizing figures outside the ring and one of the
most unique and creative athletes in the ring. I know the sport of
pro wrestling inside out, which gives me a leg up on everyone else.
If wrestling is physical chess, consider me Bobby Fischer. I've
managed to become one of the most talked about wrestlers in the
United States while at the same time becoming one of the most
accomplished pro wrestling commentators in the world. I can talk the
talk and I can walk the walk. Soon, I'll have an AWA world
championship belt to prove that I truly am as great as I say I am.

AM: Tell us a little about Team Vision.

MSL: Team Vision is something I created many years ago with my
partner Chasyn "Not Cocky"Rance. Through the years it has evolved in
many ways and I'm very fortunate now to be a part of one of the most
accomplished stables in professional wrestling. From former AWA
World Heavyweight Champion Larry Zbyszko, to current stars like Matt
Morgan and So Cal Val, Team Vision truly is one of the greatest
units in this sport. Winning the AWA World Tag Team Championship
will just be further proof of that.

AM: Speaking of Larry Zbyszko, how exactly did he get involved with
Team Vision, and what does he bring to the group?

MSL: Chasyn and I met Larry a few years ago at an event here in
Florida. We all talked about our thoughts on the wrestling business
and where the sport was heading. We all agreed that it was important
for professional wrestling to have a team that could be counted on
to bring the sport into the future. A team with both youth and
experience, both brains and brawn. We just clicked instantly and
we've been tearing things up in Florida and Georgia ever since.
Unlike most teams in pro wrestling, when we leave the arena, we are
still a team. Team Vision is the real thing. We bought a big house
together in the outskirts of Orlando and turned it into a full
training center. We all live there and train there day in and day
out as a team. Team Vision is a lifestyle, a lifestyle most couldn't
handle. We all live and breathe this sport and that's why Larry has
been successful for so many years and why Chasyn and I are fully
prepared to put this business on our backs and take it as far as it
needs to go. Without a doubt, like it or not, Larry Zbyszko will
once again be formally recognized as the AWA World Heavyweight
Champion.

AM: Both Chasyn Rance and Noah Lott have been rather been rather "up
front" with their opinions on Kirby and TJ Mack. Do you have
anything that you would like to add?

MSL: Look, polite or not, politically correct or not, Chasyn and
Noah haven't said anything that isn't true. Kirby Mack is a pretty
boy nobody in my opinion. I've wrestled him and I'm not impressed. I
think sometimes these AWA territories are so desperate to find a
golden boy that they latch on to whoever they can find. To me, that
guy is Kirby Mack. If I saw him tomorrow, I'd spit right in his face
and I've done so in the past. Listen, I'm a certified genius.
Probably the only wrestler to go straight to college from elementary
school. Check my family history. The Saint Laurents ruled Canada for
decades. If my blood can run a major country, a country that frankly
is a lot better than the one I'm stuck competing in most of the
time, don't think for a second I'm not cut out to run this sport or
don't run it already. Nobody knows more than me, but this Noah kid,
he knows a lot, take my word for it. I wouldn't doubt anything he
says.

AM: Do you and Chasyn have anything "up your sleeve" concerning
either the Mack brothers or Dexter Poindexter?

MSL: Of course we have something up our sleeve, when do we not? But
if you think I'm going to reveal our plans on some stupid website,
you've got to be out of your mind. Team Vision's business is Team
Vision's business. Beating up the Mack brothers is nothing new to
Team Vision and we'll keep doing what we do until the Mack's get
tired of dealing with us.

AM: Do you think that Noah Lott can be trusted? Why or why not?

MSL: Well, I trust him and that should be good enough for anyone
else. They call me the most important man alive for a reason and if
I say Noah Lott can be trusted, then he can be trusted. He shouldn't
get ID'd at bars. Ushers shouldn't ask to see his ticket stub. Cops
shouldn't ask to see his license and registration. I'm telling you
Noah Lott is the real deal and that should be good enough.

AM: What are you predictions for the tag title tournament?

MSL: Luckily for you, they don't call us Team Vision for nothing. I
can analyze every factor and walk you 30 steps ahead of the pack.
You want some inside info? Bet on Mister Saint Laurent and Chasyn
Rance. It's a done deal. We will be the new AWA world champions.
That's not even a prediction, that's just me telling you how it is.

AM: Thank you for the interview. Do you have anything else to add?

MSL: No, honestly, I didn't want to say anything to begin with, but
it's in my bout agreement that I have to reasonably promote the
tournament in good faith, so that's what I'm doing. If fans want to
know what I'm about, they can visit mistersaintlaurent.com and
teamvision.tv. I'm a take it or leave it kind of guy. I don't bend
for anyone. I'll be heading to Wisconsin on a mission and that
mission will be accomplished. If I make enemies along the way, so be
it. That goes for the promoters, the fans, or the wrestlers. When
Team Vision rolls into town, things get interesting and once we have
the gold, things will be a little more interesting in the AWA for a
very long time.
