1/29 WORLD-1 "Final Conflict: W-1 vs. PWF" Results!
January 31, 2006
Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 debuted at the Phasantland Roller Drome on
Sunday evening January 29.
Before the event began Rob Dimension told the fans that The Sandman
would not be there and held up a container of urine, explaining that
The Hardcore Icon was suspended by the Pennsylvania State Athletic
Commission for 30 days for failing a random drug test. He claimed
that The Sandman tested positive for 122 different drugs. This
brought out The Extreme Horsemen, CW Anderson and Steve Corino, who
told the fans the truth; that The Sandman was still in Mexico and
would not be making it to the show in time to wrestle in the main
event. Dimension disputed this by opening the lid of the urine
sample and asking Corino to "smell it". Corino then threw the urine
sample in Dimension's face leaving him red faced. Well yellow faced
would be the better term!
Match 1) Alere Little Feather (W-1) & Josh Abercrombie (IWA Mid-
South) defeated Ran Maru(Freelance) & CJ Otis (IWA Mid-South) in
9:48 when Little Feather pinned Ran Maru after Diamond Dust.
Match 2) Wiseguy Jimmy Cicero (Freelance) & Dr. Sean Feelgood (APWF)
beat Kage (WSW) & Noah Lott (AWA) in 9:44 when Cicero made Kage
submit to a Boston Crab.
After the match, Cicero made his way to the interview area where
Bryan Riegel talked to him about his aspirations in WORLD-1. Marcus
Dowling then came out and offered Cicero a spot as a bodyguard for
the Downtown Playboys, which he accepted.
Match 3) The Patriot (Freelance) beat Sweet & Sour Larry Sweeney
(Chikara) w/Marcus Dowling in 7:16 after Uncle Slam. King Kaluha
then ran in and the Downtown Playboys double teamed The Patriot
until Josh Daniels made the save.
Match 4) Max Havoc, Troy Mest, & Vyrus w/Miss Dixie & Ronnie Raines
defeated Nitemare, Scott Rage, & Eric Andretti in 9:15 when Vyrus
pinned Nitemare after a modified STO.
Match 5) AWA World light heavyweight title contenders match: Ricky
Reyes (ROH) pinned Trent Acid (PWU) with a backslide in 12:03. Reyes
will now get a shot at champion Kirby Mack on February 26.
Bryan Riegel and Joey Image then announced that both the PWF
Universal champion Chris Hamrick and WORLD-1 heavyweight champion
Masato Tanaka vacated their titles on Saturday morning so that the
winner of the Final Conflict match would be the undisputed champion.
Which meant now there had to be a sole survior in the match and the
winner of that fall would win the championship of the team he
represented. The other title would be retired forever.
Match 6) WORLD-1 North American title: Allison Danger (ROH)w/Royce
C. Profit defeated Sumie Sakai (W-1) in 9:03 after the Shimmering
Warlock. Danger is the 2nd WORLD-1 North American champion.
Afterward at the interview area, both Danger and Profit bragged
about their title win and saying that she will dominate woman's
professional wrestling not only here in the United States but
internationally. Alere Little Feather came out and nominated herself
the first challenger to the championship but Danger would not even
acknowledge it.
Match 7) Finals of the WORLD-1 Television title tournament: King
Kaluha (W-1) defeated Josh Daniels (W-1), Claudio Castagnoli
(ROH/Chikara), and The Grappler (Freelance) w/Dr. Bootz in 14:01 to
become the 1st champion. Order of elimination: Kaluha over Grappler,
Daniels over, Castagnoli, then Kaluha over Daniels.
The Downtown Playboys and Jimmy Cicero went over to the interview
area and told the world that the TV title is only the beginning.
Match 8) Final Conflict Match, WORLD-1 vs. PWF: Ricky Landell was
the sole survior of the match to become the 2nd WORLD-1 heavyweight
champion after eliminating Mark Mest at 17:57 with a second rope
fist drop. Order of elimination; Greg Spitz over Steve Corino, Chris
Hamrick over MANA, Mark Mest over Hamrick, Ricky Landell over Spitz,
and Landell over Mest.
After the match Corino, Hamrick, Daniels, and CW Anderson (who
earlier vacated the United National title due to injury)
congratulated the new generation champion but the celebration didn't
last for long as Anderson superkicked Landell and said that if he
can't be WORLD-1 champion, no one can much to the shock on Corino,
Hamrick, and Daniels. After Anderson left, Landell was helped up as
the fans cheered the new champion of Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1.
