MWR Writing Competition 2008
Portion of proceeds to go to the Wounded Warrior Project to assist
America's wounded veterans.
Missouri Wrestling Revival (MWR) is pleased to announce a special
writing competition for the summer of 2008! The competition is open to
all pro wrestling fans in Missouri and bordering states. The theme is
"Improving the Midwest Pro Wrestling Scene".
We want to hear your open, honest, professional solutions to the
problems faced by professional wrestling promotions in the Midwest.
Whether you are a wrestling fan, promoter, wrestler, or otherwise
connected to the business, MWR knows you have ideas that can
revitalize wrestling in the area. If you have solutions to the
challenges that pro wrestling promotions face, then create a memorable
essay that offers these solutions in a professional and
thought-provoking way. Your goal should be to cause a strong positive
reaction from all readers, regardless of his or her wrestling
background. Entries will be 1000 words or less, and there is a small
entry fee of $10 USD.
Purpose
MWR has put together this writing competition as yet another way to
give back to the Midwest pro wrestling community. In the spirit of
giving back to worthy causes, a portion of the proceeds from this
writing contest will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A Worthy Cause
One dollar from every entry fee will be donated to the Wounded Warrior
Project. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) was founded on the
principle that veterans are our nation's greatest citizens. The WWP
seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been
severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other
locations around the world. Many of the injuries are traumatic
amputations, gunshot wounds, burns and blast injuries that will retire
these brave warriors from military service.
For more information on WWP, please visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Topic Guidance
Your entry should focus on "Improving the Midwest Pro Wrestling
