A very good list. Players to add:
Marty Bergen (North Brookfield) - catcher with Boston Beaneaters who
was plagued by personal problems in his life and wound up killing his
wife, two children and then himself in 1900.
Bill Bergen (North Brookfield) - brother of Marty; also a catcher who
had the ignominity of having the lowest batting average in major league
history - nearly 15 seasons.
Pat Moran (Fitchburg) - manager of the 1919 Cincinnati Reds, who won
the World Series against the "Black Sox".

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions, ideas and responses. It
has been most helpful.
Here is a list of all the players you have suggested we research and
possibly include in our exhibit:
Kitty Bransfield
Art LaVigne
Tom Keegan.
Jesse Burkett
Al "Bear Tracks" Javery
Rich Gedman
Wilbert "Uncle Robbie" Robinson
Marck Fidyrich
Connie Mack
Jack Barry
Ownie Carroll
Arthur "Foxy" Irwin
Hugh Bradley
J.Lee Richmond
Is there anyone we might be missing? Anyone else significant to
baseball that you might suggest? Would anyone be interested in a
meeting here at the museum to discuss this more?
As always I look forward to all of your thoughts.
