This is the list group for Stolen Horse International (NetPosse), dedicated to prevention and recovery issues surrounding horse theft. Only MODERATORS post to this group. There is no member discussion. Hopefully, if you are on this list and a horse is reported stolen, you'll copy a flyer and post it in your area. Don't forget to send the information on to your friends.

Many horse owners consider their horse a pet. Thousands are stolen each year from unsuspecting owners while others just disappear. Many horses are involved in "civil theft" (not a legal term) where the victim does not have any help from law enforcement.

Topics discussed include Stolen Horse Information news, horse recovery, prevention, victims, slaughter (as related to theft only) and any other topic related to horse theft, fundraising and Stolen Horse International, Inc.IDAHO Alerts and fundraising notices will be sent to this group.
