Ah, we were wondering what was going on with all the chatting with
Rich Gedman at that point. We did notice that the player tossed had
pitched the night before so wasn't involved in the on-going game. We
thought it was a warning thing - "he's gone, you could be next" sort
of thing.
Does anyone else think that whichever Torres was playing last night -
I think it was Mike - kept Ervan Alcantarra from being tossed early
on? He dropped his bat when he struck out and was walking away - the
ump said "pick it up or you're gone" - and Ervan didn't seem all that
motivated to pick it. Whichever Torres was on deck walked towards
him and said something and Ervan walked back and picked up the bat.
Or we could be overthinking.
Can anything be done about the outfield fences - the two tiered
system with the lower part being in play and the outer part not makes
for some tough moments - that called back home run could have erupted
the place had the Pride been behind.

Oh, yea -the game - great pitching from Lance Stevens - it was fun to
watch. We also consider it a one-hitter - I just don't understand the
call on that "hit, error" thing.
