Well, it didn't happen. The Monarchs chose Jenny Boucek to be their
next head coach. Boucek once played for the original 1997 Cleveland
Rockers WNBA team, and later was an assistant coach for a few other
teams. The most recent was the Seattle Storm team.

At least the Monarchs chose an ex-WNBA player and didn't select some ex-
NBA player who had no previous experience in the women's game.
