An American Perspective
In the Season of Hope

Shocked that the Creator of billions of stars and their surrounding
inhabited planets cares about me, the shooting star about to flame
out, gone from view. Poof!

Awe in the knowledge of His first Christmas gift to all humanity in
the silence of nighttime labor and shepherds working the night shift
on distant starlit pastures

A Christmas card of hope, telepathically sent via the fastest network
in the Universe through time and space from The Creator to all men,
women and children on the planet named Earth.

The challenge to us mere humans is to rise to the greatness of the
Creator of the Universe and learn to give the ultimate and original
Gift of Christmas, not plastic breakable toys, not cheap shaving
lotion, but the sweet Perfume of Forgiveness and a Free Ticket to
ride on God's Paradise Express to a planet made new again with
nineteen year old bodies forever. He even promises that the Tree of
Life spanning the River of Life will be available again to us, so we
can eat of the twelve different flavors and never taste boredom
again.

I am sure this tree will be taller than any majestic ancient redwood
found in California and in fact I am sure it will tower over His Holy
City like the Eiffel Tower stands stately over the sprawling French
city of Paris. And, yes, if God grants me permission, I want to
climb that tree like a child and see the view of golden intersecting
streets interspersed with gleaming buildings of Heavenly architecture
and surrounded by glowing gardens of ever blooming flowers.

My God made butterflies and vitamins! He is very real and practical
so when He buries clues about His plan for all mankind, He is not
joking around. When the original "War of Terror" began in heaven with
open rebellion by the Heavenly choirmaster insurgent named Lucifer,
so followed all mankind in his plot to overthrow the reigning ruler
of the Universe. God always had a contingency plan for terror.

Our nation's war on terrorism started at the foundations of the
Universe and has been echoed down through time to the present. This
is not a new war manufactured for our profit or entertainment even
though some may exploit it as so. "The freedom to live and to
pursue happiness without fear" is the fundamental issue the Creator
God of the Universe is being measured against. Do the other inhabited
worlds hidden amidst the universe's galaxies outside of planet earth
behave in the chaotic, aggressive and destructive manner
so often portrayed in the popular media? Or do they choose to obey
the laws of the universal government upholding the principles of
freedom and living in peace with their neighboring inhabited planets?

If the world is the stage for this play act called "Rebellion" and
other created beings are watching to see how the country with the
most personal freedoms reacts to assaults on its sense of safety,
security and prosperity, then how will we write the final act? Few of
us would side with the estranged Choir Master supporting his
assertion that God is not loving, but vengeful and cruel in order to
maintain a dictatorial control over His Universe.

Our hope is in a loving, merciful God who gives us the freedom to
choose how we love and obey Him.

Acknowledge prophets of old who claim to have held the pens of God
foretold the last chapters of this rebellious planet's final moments
clothed in robes of apparent peaceful calm and then sudden
destruction just prior to the supernatural rescue of earth's hopeful
inhabitants by their Creator.

A pessimist focuses on the pages describing the horrific turmoil and
blood shed of these final moments to be played out on planet earth,
roots for Armageddon and causes the heavenly spectators of the
universe to weep, while the optimists reveile in the blessing of
promoting the peaceful calm with full knowledge of the last act.

Personally I would rather be remembered for being a PeaceMaker
calming the seas of war rather than the perpetrator of death and
destruction, whether it be midway through the book of time or in the
final chapter.

Shared view of Paradise and pleasant relationships with God and man.

Certainly one could agree that the three religious perspective
claiming roots in the Garden of Eden are proud to be progeny of Adam
and Eve, recognize Paradise Lost and look forward to the return to
youthful everlasting life in Paradise renewed, while attempting to
improve their relationships with other men and women through a daily
conversation with their Creator.

Three most important shared tenets of Islam, Christianity and
Judaism.

A. Make Allah, your Father in Heaven and Yahweh the supreme love
object guiding your every thought and action as though He was your
childhood sweetheart

B. Fulfill the needs of your neighbor in the same manner you want him
or her to be kind to you and behave in a way that confirms your
relationship with the Creator God

C. The Creator God's plan to return you to Paradise to live young
forever in His life giving presence.

Individual and shared perceptions based on experience becomes the
traditions of culture, and the inherent impact of the various global
habitats contribute to the many nuances, and conflicts between
individuals and groups based on semantic impasse.

Add to this potpourri of convictions, the dabbling mastermind of
intrigue and subversion, Lucifer, the Fallen Angel, makes the journey
a supernatural task to look at the map of life and follow a road that
leads from where you are to Paradise.

The value of the counterfeiter's craft is found in the details and to
what extent he is able to copy the original treasury notes of
heaven's hope. Going daily to the bank teller of Heaven to verify
authenticity of your currency in hand will give you the confidence
needed to make the transactions of the day. If there is some question
about the bills of faith handed your direction, take them to the bank
of Heavenly Trust. Only a relationship with your trusted Banker will
protect you from fraudulent spiritual theft.

Some waste a lot of energy backtracking, going on other roads to make
sure others are on the right road and sometimes even get lost in all
the anger and confusion over the interpretation of the map. Daily
conversations with the Map Maker of the Universe might take you on a
road less traveled, but none the less, the promise of achieving your
goal is His to give. It is not your job to make a new treasure map
nor judge others unkindly for traveling a different road. In your
pursuit of happiness, the journey's companions, the fun you have en
route will dictate whether you grind your teeth in self-directed
anger or laugh with inescapable joy.

Regrets From Christmas Past

If America had stood firm on the ground of her principled founding
fathers, we still would have reeled back in shock at the crumbling
devastation of 911, but we would not be standing in darkness still
today if we had chosen to understand this act as aggravated
assault fueled by unrecognized or unresolved grievances voiced before
by our neighbors abroad.

We would now be humbled, knelling in silent awe of the healing power
of forging better relationships through the gift of forgiveness as an
exercise in negotiating the terms of a more equitable distribution of
the planet's resources for the generations to come. History
will judge us by the legacy granted to the future by our present
behavior on the world's stage of life. The audience is withholding
generous applause and standing ovation now, because they are
patiently waiting for a better ending.

The metamorphical process of change from worm to beautiful butterfly
wafting over flowers of hope would make the fences of separation
between cultures seem insignificant.

By keeping your focus on the next flower, the fences of obstruction
to mere humans fadefor those who have strapped on wings of hope and
found the pure white dove of peace.

Holiday seasons are opportunities to bury culture clashes, take
vacations from hostility and celebrate the commonality of many of the
valued ideas we share.

Benefits of forgiveness for both parties

The map leading to Paradise comes into focus when our eyes blinded by
hate and revenge find healing in the act of forgiving others when
they have wronged us so greatly.

The holy season or day of any religion is a jubilant excuse to slow
down and celebrate the fellowship of friends and family along with
the comforts of good food and the universal expression of hope
through flowers, music and light dispelling the dangers of darkness.

Often bitter family disputes are temporarily put aside; giving
members a vacation from the tension of imperfect relationships and
eventually conflicts can be smoothed over and resolved if they choose
to fight for love not hate.

The concept of rest and reflection separate from normal day to day
activities comes from the Creator as part of the rejuvenating process
to maintain life even in the timeless perfection of Eden. After being
thrown out of Eden, the original concept found its way into
many "Holidays and Seasons of Rest." Learning to not desecrate a
moment of rest with our bickering opens up the blessings of happy
pleasant relationships.

Negotiating Forgiveness & Consensus

When our eyes are opened to the fact that we have knowingly or
unknowingly done some wrong by act or omission and if we value that
long term relationship, we will be motivated to apologize and
negotiate the terms of forgiveness. Principled lives dictate that
all interactions whether they be short or long term be handled in a
positive and helpful manner displaying kindness and concern for the
safety and wellbeing of all humankind.

The goal of opening up discussion between the two sides of the
conflict personal or global is to clarify the details of the
interaction and make oneself vulnerable by exposing true motivations
and or hidden agendas that might have influenced the actions of
either party.

Putting all the cards held by the various players in the game of life
on the table face up is a much better path to take on the road to
peace than the worst case scenario of destructive war.

Maybe an honest appraisal of how the United States and other
countries have manipulated and supported oppressive regimes like the
Israelis and the Shahs of Iran to insure access and big business
control over some of the world's largest oil reserves might be
appropriate.

Negotiating forgiveness and arriving at consensus regarding the
future actions by both parties necessary to repair, build and
maintain long lasting cordial interdependent relationships at a
personal and global level is the first step. Corporations, the
Military and many groups have a process by which members can submit
complaints to a grievance committee for review and resolution.

The United Nations represents a global mechanism to make public,
grievances between nations, providing a safe forum for reasonable
study and resolution through its recommendations. The value of the
group is in the wisdom of diverse perspectives, designed to promote
balance and respect for all views of any given issue. I believe the
effectiveness of the UN has been stifled by the conflict of interest
between it and its most powerful proponent and largest financial
supporter, the United States.

If a potent UN grievance committee reviewed the last eighty-five
years of US policy as it relates historically to the vast oil
reserves in the Mid East, it might conclude that the
overreaching manipulation, subterfuge and overt desire by the US to
control access to liquid black gold has undermined the sovereignty
and self-determination efforts that might have evolved into a more
stable and cordial Mid East region.

Since the discovery of vast oil deposits beneath the shifting sands
of the Mid East region in the 1920s, our greedy interests have
dictated an unwise policy.

We have behaved badly and the seeds of conflict between Arabs, Jews
and Americans have been sown for almost 85 years. The mature fields
of hate mixed with the weeds of distrust, when harvested yields an
oversupply of nasty acts of raw unprocessed revenge. All countries
involved are now actively importing and exporting this poisoned crop
of selfish madness with no apparent concern about its deadly
consumption by innocents.

We the United States of America through our foreign policies
controlled by big business interests caused the problems we face now
and to continue building on that heritage of administrations past is
lighting the fuse to a self-destructive powder keg of death and
devastation.

Words spoken by an American President voicing his regrets for the
blunders and mismanagement of relationships with the countries in the
Mid East could be the first step in seeking forgiveness and arriving
at a consensus on the appropriate changes in foreign policy.

Guilt admitted and recognizing the legitimacy of voiced grievances,
manifests admirable strength and shines brightly amidst the darkness
of denial and subversion of truth.

Being the last man standing might seem a worthy objective, but that
apparent position on top of humanity's heap can be lonesome and often
requires an abuse of power. Helping others to stand on wobbly legs,
strengthened by the assistance and support of friends is a
more easily defensible position than being King of the Mountain.

Building long term cordial interdependent global relationships is a
mandate from all the underrepresented faceless global masses
experiencing gross poverty and oppression.

Examining the truth of history as it really was, not as we wanted it
to be will empower leaders of all nationalities to proactively
speculate about issues that might fuel the flames of conflict in the
present and in the future.

Our inalienable right to pursue happiness mandates that we daily,
before the sun sets, actively walk around to visit our neighbors and
make an effort to successfully resolve all issues that might turn the
darkness meant for rest and safe sleep into opportunities for
ambush and revenge.

When different perspectives contribute to complex issues requiring
more than an evening's work of negotiation, then the least we can do
is agree to rest the night in safety and resume earnest discussions
on the rising of a new day of hopeful sunshine.

Commitment to a more equitable prosperity for all, facilitated by the
forgiving spirit of the "Original Gift of Christmas" as made manifest
by acts of genuine kindness to all humankind can promote a more
peaceful coexistence here on earth.

Who Stole Christmas, the promise of gifts and replaced it with
the "Revenge of the Original Liar"

The present manifestations of global human conflict reflect the
theater of war as traced down through millennia of time. Only the
tools used and the methods of communication have changed, but the
actions speak of hearts of stone, not transformed by their own
admonitions of purity and proclamations of freedom and the pursuit of
equitable happiness for all inhabitants of earth.

The original lie told in the Garden of Eden to the mother of all
mankind, Eve, echoes in the present: "You, your family and its nation
can live outside the laws of all creation, but the threatened
consequences of breaking those laws is just not true." The choice is
simple; Do you invest in that stock of lies or purchase the refined
gold of Heaven's purest ore of truth?

The Gold Standard still makes good economic sense, it is heavy, it's
real and the gold of God's love can be shaped into infinite symbols
of His love. He promises that all our basic needs will be taken care
of and then to top that, He claims that even the things material or
spiritual we have not heard about or seen will be readily available
to all the inhabitants of Paradise.

The Creator God does have a plan to make peace that He says will last
forever when the original "Terrorist" that started the first war in
heaven will be forever destroyed. Unfortunately until that day, men
as pawns of this original "Evil" will continue to act out the play
written by Lucifer, that evil angel who garnered a third of God's
angels to his cause of rebellion and insurgency.

After the warriors of destruction and death have moved into the
shadows to secretly prepare for the next visible show of mighty
power, after the bullets are spent, the smoke clears and the
devastation is surveyed, some living soul has to clean up the mess.

Bodies left to rot, eaten by vultures and dogs can be disposed by
anyone, but those who love life, feel compelled to care for the
injured and dying.

As the world approaches the season finally of this horrific year
since Christmas Past, the legacy of misbehaving adults on both sides
of the present occupation of Iraq by Coalition Forces has cast a dark
shadow over the pristine hopes of children present.

A Holiday Season Greetings Note of Hope!

The war of terror on the hopeful human spirit began in Heaven long
before we were born and God does have a plan to make everlasting
Peace on Earth.

He could have shocked us with consuming fire and brimstone raining
down on all in open rebellion against His laws of order and our last
words might have been, "Awe, this is really going to hurt," but He
chose to send a non threatening baby wrapped in grave cloths
as His ambassador of hope from Heavenly courts.

As many of us witness the trusting exuberance of children hopeful for
the many exciting gifts of Christmas, we stand in the shadows quietly
contemplating our envy of their enthusiasm and naive innocence.

May you find hope every new day as you witness God's magnificent love
letter, romancing your soul in His created beauty spread around you
like a warm security blanket.

If you have an extra stash of blankets, keep handing out those warm
snugly symbols of your love for others.

God promises to resupply you with more than you will ever need.

We are said to have been formed in the image of God and He gives us
permission as His children to play at being like Him. Each day as the
new sun rises we have the opportunity to try something different and
grow up into the likeness of God, for I will never be my father, but
I can be like Him.

Give the ultimate gift of gods to men and women who may have
everything else, but a sense of forgiveness and being forgiven.

Like a flower in springtime, may you grow in the sunshine of God's
everlasting love, passing your sense of tomorrow's hope onto all you
meet and your pleasant interactions will promote peaceful coexistence
on earth.
