I'm glad to see we have a slower group at this speed. This is the perfect
entry level speed for the double. Fast enough to get it done by dark, but
not too fast so that the group keeps together.
The fast group last year did 19.7 or higher for 200 miles. That takes a lot
of training to maintain that speed over that distance and is not for
beginners. A pace of 17-18 is also doable, but again we would need a
separate group to take over promoting that speed.
