Some have asked about the rain policy. Here it is:

I don't start rides in the rain. I will show up for the ride if it is
raining at the start with scattered thunderstorms. If it is forecast
to rain the whole day and I see on the radar that the rain looks like
it is widespread and will not let up, then I don't show up. In that
case I will e-mail this group about 45 minutes before the ride starts.

If it just scattered thunder storms, then I will go to the start and
make a decision with the other riders that show up. I will not start
a ride in the rain, but I will start after the rain mostly stops, ie.
you can stand around for 5 minutes and get no more than damp here and
there. I don't start rides in a heavy mist either. Been there, done
that.
