Re: [NYDoubleCentury] Dates for this years ride

Hello to all you doublers,

On second thought, the 15th would probably work out ok as we will have all
that high altitude training under our belt from Tahoe and a week to taper
ought to be just fine. I will be trying to get some more of our Team in
Training riders to do the double too. We had three, last year with Barb,
Chris and Hank. Now that I think of it, if anyone is interested in doing
our Tahoe Century with TNT, let me know. It's really a great ride and the
fundraising really isn't that hard. You get three nights in a good hotel,
most meals, air fair and bike shipping included. We always stay an extra
week just to ride the big mountains. It is some of the best riding on the
Planet! Give us a call if you want more info.
Best,
Bob and Barb

Bruce et al,

I would like to ride the Dbl again this year, but the 22nd of Jun would
cause me a bit of difficulty, so I'll put in my request for the 15th. Since
I could purchase quite a few new bikes for what my daughter's wedding is
amounting to, I should probably be there instead on the 22nd to enjoy it.
;-)

Happy New Year............Nate

Bruce,
I would prefer the 22nd, though I appreciate the thought about cooler
weather. We will just be back from Tahoe by the 15th, but if the consensus
is the 15th we can swing it. Thanks for once again organizing the
ride.....Ta Ta Barb

The weekend days in June for this year's ride are

June 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29

The longest day will be near the 21-22 date. It is generally cooler
the week before, often dramatically, so I would propose the 15th as
the Double Date.

That would mean the following training schedule:

May 31-June 1 is the 100
June 7-8 is the 125
June 15 is the 200

Any one have any preferences?

Bruce
